How it works

Capturing Screenshots

1. Navigate to the webpage you want to capture
2. Click the AI Screenshot extension icon in your browser toolbar
3. Click the "Capture" button
4. Wait for the success confirmation popup
5. Your screenshot is now saved to your dashboard!

What Gets Captured

• Screenshot Image — The visible part of the webpage
• Page URL — The direct link to the captured page
• Page Title — The title of the webpage
• Timestamp — Exact time when the capture was taken

Viewing Your Captures

All your screenshots appear in your dashboard as cards. Each card shows:

• A thumbnail preview of the screenshot
• AI-generated title and summary (when processed)
• Color-coded tags for easy categorization
• The original source URL

Searching & Filtering

Use the search bar to find specific captures by:

• Title or summary text
• Tags generated by the AI
• OCR text (any words that appeared in the original image)

Preview Mode

Click on any screenshot to open a full-size preview modal. Click anywhere outside the image or press the escape key to close.

After you capture a screenshot, our AI automatically does the heavy lifting:

• Extracts Text (OCR) — Reads any text visible in the image so you can search for it later.
• Generates Summary — Creates a concise sentence describing what the page is about.
• Adds Tags — Intelligently categorizes the screenshot with relevant tags (e.g. Design, Receipt, Article).
• Creates Title — Generates a descriptive, human-readable title.

• All screenshots are stored securely in your private cloud account
• Only you can access your captured images
• Data is encrypted in transit and at rest
• You can permanently delete your screenshots at any time
• We do not train public AI models on your personal data
